20 Months

Howdy! So transfers are this week and I’m staying another transfer in Altoona. I’m happy about it, I really enjoy our zone and the work with the ward is going really good right now. The members know us better then they’ve known any missionaries in the last 2 years. Elder Knight is going home on Thursday and I will get my new comp Elder Brown. I’m excited, I’ve known him for about a year now just serving around each other. He is one of my mission buddies so it should be a fun transfer! Also I hit my 20 month mark!! Wow🤠. I have some cool stories from this past week. One day we were driving somewhere and a guy on a dirtbike came around the corner in a neighborhood we were in. It was a narrow street so I got over so he could go by. When he got to where he could see me I did the “do a wheelie signal” 😉 and he did a wheelie past us haha! Another story, we were driving home from an exchange and a storm rolled in. It was pouring really hard and there was a lot of really cool lightning flashes. I noticed I was in the left lane of the freeway and just decided to go to the right lane, and probably 2 seconds after I did we passed a tree that had fallen and was laying in the left lane of the freeway!! We probably would’ve been able to stop in time but would’ve had to back up and go around and the time it would have taken to do that we probably would’ve gotten hit! It was pretty crazy, the Lord was definitely watching out🤯
Lastly I just wanted to share these questions that I read from a talk earlier this week that I think are so important and key to our well being. These are the 4 primary questions we should “worry” about answering in our lives and every other question we have is secondary to these and can probably be answered when these 4 are answered.

1. Is there a God who is our Father? 2. Is Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Savior of the world? 3. Was Joseph Smith a prophet? 4. Is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the kingdom of God on the earth? If you answer the primary questions, the secondary questions get answered too, or they pale in significance and you can deal with things you understand and things you don’t and things you agree with and things you don’t without jumping ship altogether.- Lawrence E. Have great week everybody! Read the Book of Mormon. Have fun! Love, Elder Souza
