Altoona Bound

Hey there!
So transfers are tomorrow and I am going to be transferred. I’ve been in Oakland for 3 transfers, about 4 months, and it’s been a blast. I’m going to miss the ward and being in this area. It has been pretty exciting and the people we are teaching have been super solid. One of the girls we teach finally came to church this week and it was exactly what she needed. She felt like the talks were handpicked for her. It was cool because it was ward conference and the speakers were Bishop and the Stake President so we heard some some solid talks. We had a lesson right after and she just opened up on how she had never felt anything like it before and she just loved it. It was pretty awesome. She is also reading the Book of Mormon a lot and understanding more and more how the Holy Ghost works! Anyways I am going back to the Altoona Zone where I will be the Zone Leader in the town of Altoona. l was in the Altoona Zone for about 9- 9.5 months of my mission between Philipsburg and Indiana. So I am pretty familiar with the area. I’m sad to leave but feel like it’s time and there will be lots to learn for me as a Zone Leader. The unknown is always kinda scary but that’s how the mission goes, you never know the future. I guess that’s life too! I’ve had a lot of fun in Oakland and have had some awesome companions. I still have a while left on the mission but I already kinda miss the relationships I’ve made even though I’m still here?! I’m grateful that Heavenly Father has allowed me to have so many awesome experiences in my life and to meet so many great people. I think I’ve said it before but Knowledge and Relationships are two things we take with us after this life and I’ve really come to learn for me why they are so important. President Hinckley said that we are the product of lives who have touched our’s. Good people make us better and help us learn. We are here to help one another not tear each other down. I will see you in Altoona! Read the Book of Mormon. Have fun! Love, Elder Souza
