Hi everybody. This week was really good. We’ve been busy. Our mission is the pilot mission for a couple of new things in missionary work in regards to new finding methods and training methods, so we are doing a lot of figuring things out right now. I really enjoyed General Conference this weekend. It is so great to hear from the leaders of the Church and to be able to learn from them. I thought I would share a couple of my favorite quotes from it. “Revelation often comes in the act of doing good.” “Christianity is comforting, but is often not comfortable. The path to holiness and happiness here and after is a long and sometimes rocky one. It takes time and tenacity to walk it. But of course, the reward for doing so is monumental.” -Elder Holland “Faith means trusting in God in good times and bad, even if that includes some suffering until we see His arm revealed in our behalf.” – Also Elder Holland. “Everything in our worship should point toward the Savior” -Elder Andersen. And lastly President Nelson saying, “The Lord is gathering those who are willing to let God change their lives” he also said it takes faith and courage to let God prevail in our lives. There were many more but you can go back and watch/read them for the next 6 months until the next one! Trust the leaders of this Church. They were foreordained to be in the position they are at this specific time. We are all here specifically for this time as well, and have the capacity to be among the best of God’s children he has ever sent to the earth. Now is the time to get on board. Don’t wait for Corona to end or for the right time. President Monson said the only opportunity we have is right now. Trust the Lord in good times and bad. The times of our journeys are His. Miss you all, have a good week. Read the Book of Mormon. Have fun. Love, Elder Souza
Ps. My pday this week was today, not Monday, because we went to Pittsburgh yesterday to drop something off to the Mission President. So I took some pictures! In the first picture if you look closely you can see Heinz Field on the left (Steelers stadium) and PNC Park on the right (Pirates baseball field)
